In May 1999, Floyds painting Mondongo Island Boathouse received Honorable Mention in the annual Central Activity Center Senior Program in Phenix City, Alabama.
In January 2000, Floyd was featured as Artist of the Month by the Phenix City Art Council.
In May 2000, Floyd's painting of Chinati received a 2nd place award at the annual Central Activity Center Senior Program.
In 2004 Floyd's painting Scarlet Macaw won 2nd place at Central Activities Center in Phenix City, Alabama
In 2008, Floyd's work Autum Gold won the Smith-Barney Purchase Award at the annual Arts on the River fine art show, in Columbus, Georgia. The painting was purchased and donated to Hope Harbor women's shelter.
